In the latest round of American Express limited time offers, the Delta SkyMiles Gold and Platinum (personal and business) cards are now offered with 50,000 and 60,000 bonus points respectively.
If you do not have interest in elite status, the Gold card is probably best for you as it is offered with no annual fee, a $50 statement credit, and a similar point offering. To max out on this promotion, you could apply for both the personal and business to take home 100,000 SkyMiles.
For those looking for elite status, the SkyMiles Platinum card is the best choice with an offering 60,000 points, 10,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM’s), and a $100 statement credit. Again in this case you could apply for both the personal and business cards and rake in 120,000 SkyMiles and 20,000 MQM’s.
Things to keep in mind
- The Amex Delta SkyMiles signup bonuses fall under the once per lifetime rule, therefore if you apply for the personal Gold card, you will be ineligible to receive future signup bonuses on personal Gold cards going forward but will be able to receive bonuses on the platinum cards and the business gold card.
- If applying for both cards, there may be a hold place on one of the applications. If this is to take place a simple call to American Express usually clears up the matter.
- Limited time offer expires on July 6, 2016
